Community service events for the 2009-2010 school year include a holiday adopt-a-family program and a food drive. The Parent Association partnered with Foothill Family Service and participated in their Adopt-A-Family Program. Each yard was encouraged to adopt a family through this program, which distributes holiday gifts of clothes, toys, and necessities to local families in need during the holiday season.
Our food drive will run from February 19 — March 5 and will benefit Mothers’ Club. Pacific Oaks families are asked to drop off food items to support Mothers’ Club. “Mothers’ Club of Pasadena reaches out to isolated, impoverished parents with young children and provides them with practical skills, education, self-confidence, companionship, and most significantly, hope for a better future for themselves and for their families.”
